Green desert

The turkish-syrian desert is only for 2-3 weeks green when there were enough rain during the spring. We were really lucky that we visited the desert at this time! On the photos it's not looking like a dry hot desert.. more like a huge meadow. There were flowers everywhere and the desert was green-yellow. But in some days the temperatur will rise and the sun will burn everything. 

Because of the green desert many birds stopped to rest which were really good our birding trip. Noboy of us saw so many Red-backed Shirkes, Swifts and other birds together in one area (>1000)! Beside of the birds and the wonderful landescape we also had the chance to see some gazelles
